ABOUT US
John 15:15 - Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
We give the Lord Jesus Christ all the glory, praise, and honor through His grace, Christian Outreach International Ministries was formed in 1994, by its founders Dr Charles and Antoinette Pretorius. After several missions into Africa, they realized the enormous need for an organization on the ground, to evangelize, to distribute Bibles, to train, equip and to mobilise believers "wanting to do something for God". As a registered non profit, faith based organization, evangelising and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the main objecteive and per the organization's scripture verse :
Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Discipleship and planting churches was, not only a commission from the Lord, but a mandate which has been strived for the past 18 years plus. It was soon realize that poverty, lack of education, skills and HIV/AIDS pandemic was effecting so many people, especially vulnerable children in rural villages and towns, that something drastically needed to be done.
Immediately leadership development was implemented, basic living skills training, poverty reduction programs, literacy and small business enterprises, farming, cash crops, poverty reducing programs, orphanage and vulnarable children support, Wildlife Consevation, Game reserve management and Eco Tourism development, business development and income generating projects were launched successfully. Several other projects were started, brick block making program for woman to generate an income. Skills training projects for rural communities in brick laying and construction, maintenace, cooking and hospitality, livestock, animal husbandry and vegetable gardening were initiated.
One of the programs offered and presented by COIM is youth camps, especially aimed at children from impoverished communities. Youth enjoy nature, experience God's creation, and learn how to disciple, about environmental education and social skills as well as given the chance to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Gospel Outreaches are held regularly where much needed food and gifts are distributed. Pastors' training Conferences and Evangelism Schools are held regularly, to equip train and motivate brothers and sisters in Christ. Bible and Literature distribution, children’s church, Sunday school teachers training, Biblical Studies, Community Projects, Eco tourism development, hospitality, education & training are all part of Christian Outreach International Mission.
To accomplish all of this, fellow believers as volunteers assist in the programs, we are extremely grateful and praise the Lord Jesus Christ for all the workers He has been sending into the harvest field, for the are white!
